Piadina Please!
Piadina is an Italian flatbread and a beloved specialty of the Emilia-Romagna region. It is made of water, flour, salt, olive oil or a bit of lard and comes with various stuffings. Without stuffing it is often served instead of bread.
Osteria di Riccione Piadina offers a great variety of delicious piadina including the one with fish and seafood popular along the Adriatic coast. Classic piadina fillings are grilled vegetables, arugula, olives, different types of local soft cheeses, hams, roastbeef, sausage, squid, shrimp or fish.
I prefer the lighter seafood and fish varieties. Here, at the Osteria, you can order yours made with organic kamut flour, or without yeast or salt.
Pasta, pokè bowls, big salads, local greens and daily specials are other dishes available at this friendly restaurant.
Osteria di Riccione Piadina offers a healthy and tasty alternative to the food served along the A14 motorway just 2 minutes off the highway exit. It is a convenient and convivial lunch spot frequented mostly by locals in the industrial area of town. The shaded outdoor area beckons with a pleasant breeze during the warmer months. There is also a bike point, and local products are for sale at their corner shop.
Tip:
The Osteria gets busy, so reservations are a good idea. Closed on Sundays.

Interesting:
There is a small museum on site which offers a film and guided tours in various languages on piadina making, including tastings. Please check the website for details and reservations.
